Environmental company to give out cotton shopper bags

An environmental company is giving out cotton shopper bags to promote plastic bag-free living.

Cotton shopper bags are to be given out in Leeds as part of a new campaign to boost environmental awareness.

This Saturday (October 31st), Morley company Groundwork will distribute cotton shopper bags filled with products promoting green living to the first people to visit its offices in the city centre, the Morley Observer reported.

The cotton shopper bags are being given out as part of Community Service Volunteers' (CVS') Make a Difference Day, which is designed to reduce the use of plastic carriers, said Adrian Curtis, executive director at Groundwork.

"We're very supportive of the CSV campaign's aim of spreading some kindness. We hope plenty of people will take the opportunity to pick up one of our kindness kits and be kind to the environment," he told the newspaper.

Meanwhile, cotton shopper bags have recently been used to promote the Latin Grammy Awards, with carriers displaying a parchment and notes given out to people to mark the event's tenth anniversary.ADNFCR-2504-ID-19432690-ADNFCR
